Custom-made, highly elastic and anti-crack silicon rubber septum can be used for needle sampling. They can handle sulfide gases, halide gases, nitrite gases and hydrocarbon gases. Experimental data show that the layered sample bags can maintain compositions of some gases stable for 1 to 3 months at ppm or ppb level.
